Apprenticeships in the Engineering Industry

As technology advances, the need for skilled engineers continues to grow, making apprentices invaluable contributors to industries facing a significant skills gap. The technical skills gained during an apprenticeship will position you as a sought-after professional in a competitive job market.

Completing an apprenticeship in engineering opens doors to promising career prospects. The industry is showing an increased value in hands-on experience, and apprenticeships provide an excellent foundation on which to build a career.

With a strong foundation in both technical and professional skills, apprentices are well-prepared to go after diverse roles within the engineering sector. Renishaw recognises the value of apprenticeships and offers a supportive environment where individuals can thrive, providing a solid foundation for a successful and rewarding career.

Apprentices in the engineering industry at Renishaw can expect a blend of team-based collaboration and independent work.

While teamwork is emphasised, apprenticeships also cultivate independent problem-solving skills, ensuring that you are not only skilled in collaborative working but are also capable of tackling challenges independently. This combination of skills prepares you for a dynamic and evolving work environment, where adaptability is key to success.

Renishaw has been employing apprentices for nearly 50 years and the program has grown in the last 10. We’ve increased the number of apprenticeships available, recognising the value they bring to our business.

Apprenticeships are not just a program here; they are ingrained in the culture of our company.
